London’s newest laugh-out-loud hit, The Comedy About A Bank Robbery, has stolen the hearts of West End audiences and proved so successful it is adding six months to its run at the Criterion Theatre.
The production is now booking until 23 April 2017.
The fantastic slapstick show, which only opened last week, follows an inept gang of criminals as they attempt to pull off an audacious diamond heist. Yet things don’t go entirely as planned, with hilarious outcomes.
The Comedy About A Bank Robbery is the latest offering from the capital’s favourite makers of stupendously silly shows, Mischief Theatre. The group of former LAMDA students are the team behind the Olivier Award-winning The Play That Goes Wrong, currently playing at the Duchess Theatre, and Peter Pan Goes Wrong, the festive farce of seasonal stupidity that returns to the Apollo Theatre this Christmas.
Writing about The Comedy About A Bank Robbery after press night, Official London Theatre’s Charlotte Marshall said: “Mischief Theatre don’t just do it again, they raise the farcical bar with a sure fire hit packed with slick theatrical inventiveness, hilariously silly word play and gravity defying design to leave your sides aching and heart warmed.”
