It may be a long way from Christmas, but Hampstead has already announced details of its family show for the festive season, Little Wolf’s Book Of Badness, which runs from 6 December 2007-5 January 2008.
A mischievous musical for ages five and over, Little Wolf’s Book Of Badness is adapted from Ian Whybrow’s book by Hampstead Artistic Director Anthony Clark (who also directs), and set to music by Conor Linehan.
Little Wolf is a goody four-paws. He brushes his teeth, says please and thank you and is always in bed on time. But that just won’t do, so he is packed off to Cunning College to learn the Nine Rules of Badness from the biggest, badest wolf of them all, Uncle Bigbad.
Whybrow has written over 60 books for children, including picture books, short stories, novels and poetry. In addition to Little Wolf he is the author of A Baby For Grace, Where’s Tim’s Ted, Whiff, and the Harry And The Dinosaurs titles. Little Wolf’s Book Of Badness was made into an animated film on C4 in 2003.
