Ladies toilets are located in the Stalls and Grand Circle. Gentlemen’s toilets are located in the Dress Circle and Grand Circle. Accessible toilet facilities are available by arrangement with neighbouring theatre, Adelphi Theatre. A member of theatre staff will accompany customers wishing to use the accessible toilet facilities; alternatively customers may present their theatre tickets at the main entrance of the Adelphi Theatre.

History

Located on the Strand, the Vaudeville Theatre opened in 1870. A proposed redevelopment of Covent Garden in 1968 saw the venue under threat, but it was saved after a successful “Save London Theatre” public campaign. Today, it is a thriving venue, and hosts many successful West End productions.

The current Vaudeville Theatre building has stood there since 1926, and replaced the previous theatre which had occupied the plot since 1882. Currently, it has a capacity of 690 audience members, and is spread over three levels. The Theatre is currently owned by Nimax Theatres, who purchased the venue in 2005.

Over the Vaudeville Theatre’s long history it has hosted many acclaimed performances. In more recent times, it has hosted long-running favourite Stomp, an Oscar Wilde season performed by Classic Spring, and has seen the return to acting of Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin.
