Following a celebrated run in Manchester, Bruntwood Prize-winner Anna Jordan’s Yen transfers to the Royal Court.
Two teenagers – Hench, 16, and Bobbie, 13 – and one dog, Taliban. Home alone in Feltham, playing games, streaming videos and lethargically watching the world go by, they are sometimes visited by mum, Maggie, normally with empty promises – and empty pockets.
And then Jenny appears.
Winner of the UK’s biggest playwriting competition, and supported by the Royal Exchange, Yen is directed by Ned Bennett, former trainee director at the Royal Court Theatre whose recent work includes Primetime and Pigeons.
