Lorraine Stanley leads the cast of Roy Williams’ police drama Wildefire at the Hampstead Theatre.

The production tells the story of Gail Wilde, an average policeman who lives up to her nickname Wildefire. Suspicions surrounding her professional conduct reach fever pitch when a fellow officer is involved in a serious incident on the beat.

As conspiracy theories and rumours spread both at work and at home, a cycle of accusations and recrimination ensues, spiralling out of control.

Directed by Maria Aberg, the production explores the maelstrom of urban policing and the mental and physical impact it has on the people we rely on to keep the peace.

Stanley, whose London stage credits include The Frontline at Shakespeare’s Globe, is joined in the cast by Cian Barry, Ricky Champ, Fraser James, Simon Manyonda, Sharlene Whyte, Eric Kofi Abrefa, Danny Dalton, Sammy Hayman, Tara Hodge and Noof Ousellam.
