29 year old Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour’s arresting and allegorical work, White Rabbit, Red Rabbit, dissects the experience of a whole generation in a wild, utterly original play.
Unable to travel, Soleimanpour has turned his isolation to his own advantage with a play (written in English) that requires no director, no set and a different actor for every performance.
Incredibly each performer will read Soleimanpour’s script for the first time on stage sharing their discovery of this unique and mischievous piece directly with the audience.
Mock The Week’s Mark Watson will perform on 17 June at 14:00 with Fringe First winner Tom Basden taking the stage later that day on 17:00. 24 June will see RSC actress Dame Janet Suzman perform at 14:00, followed by Olivier Award-winning actress Juliet Stevenson at 17:00. Completely the run, Jumpy actress Tamsin Greig will perform on 1 July at 14:00 with Doctor Who’s Arthur Darvill at 17:00.
White Rabbit, Red Rabbit is performed as part of LIFT 2012, an exhilarating London wide festival of provocative and compelling contemporary theatre brought to London from across the world.
