When Did You Last See My Mother? is set in London in 1965, where broke, lonely and lovelorn Ian shares a bedsit with the beautiful, infuriating, carefree Jimmy, who chases all the skirt he can. Just as Ian decides to give up on a city in which everyone apart from him is having the time of their lives, the boys are visited by Jimmy’s charismatic, reckless mother, who exposes the boys’ deepest secrets and pulls them into calamitous new territory.

When Did You Last See My Mother? was first performed in 1966, when it launched the career of an 18-year-old Christopher Hampton, making him the youngest ever playwright to have a show staged in the West End. Though is received impressive reviews, it has not be staged in more than 40 years.

Harry Melling leads the cast of When Did You Last See My Mother? The young actor is fast building a strong reputation with London performances including The School For Scandal at the Barbican and Women Beware Women at the National Theatre. He is probably best known, though, as Dudley Dursley from the Harry Potter series of films.
