Leonard Bernstein’s classic musical returns to the capital in a screening at the Royal Albert Hall accompanied by a live orchestra.
Based on Shakespeare’s Romeo And Juliet, West Side Story features a book by Arthur Laurents with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and is packed full of unforgettable songs including Maria, Tonight, Somewhere, America and I Feel Pretty.
The classic romantic tragedy about the bitter battle between the Jets and the Sharks, which is screened in high definition with original vocals and dialogue, is brought to life by Bernstein’s electrifying score and Jerome Robbins’ spectacular choreography.
