Kurt Weill, one of Brecht’s major collaborators, was one of the great architects of music theatre. He wrote operas, chamber, film and ballet music as well as great shows of which The Threepenny Opera, Mahagonny, One Touch
Of Venus and Street Scene are the most famous. This is a rare opportunity to hear some of the extraordinary songs that established him as a true original before he escaped from Nazi Germany to New York and Broadway.
Performed by the English National Opera Young Singers Programme.
