Acclaimed opera singer and cabaret artist Jessica Walker stars in the world premiere of Unborn In America, a twisted satire of American excess.
In the afterlife, aborted foetus Ziggy performs at The Petri Dish, a legendary cabaret bar for the unborn. Androgynous, sexy, provocative, she doesn’t know or care if she’s in heaven or hell, but the clientele is getting hot under the collar.
Created by composer Luke Styles and director-librettist Peter Cant, Unborn In America is a fast, feisty trash-punk new cabaret opera billed as “Brecht/Weill on acid”.
