Puccini’s final opera is the tale of a Chinese princess who tests her suitors before slaughtering them. Prince Calaf, however, is determined to be the exception.
Andrei Serban’s production combines colour and action, ritual theatre and symbolism to create the world of Oriental fantasy.
The production is performed by two casts and is sung in Italian with English surtitles.
