This acclaimed adaptation of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, first staged at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in 2013, is given a new indoor home at the Barbican Theatre and sees Robert Sean Leonard reprise his role as Atticus Finch.

Set in the Deep South, To Kill A Mockingbird sees racial injustice envelop a small-town community as lawyer Atticus goes in search of the truth and his feisty daughter Scout – a girl on the cusp of adulthood – brings new hope to a neighbourhood in turmoil.

Directed by Timothy Sheader, the production opened at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in the summer of 2013 featuring a cast including House’s Leonard. It then returned for a second season in 2014 with Daniel Betts in the lead role.

Capturing the warmth and poignancy of Lee’s 20th century classic – a universal story about the corruption of innocence – the revival arrives at the Barbican following a UK tour.
