Acclaimed Russian director Andrei Konchalovsky directs an all-Russian cast in this foreign language production of Chekhov’s Three Sisters, which runs alongside another of the playwright’s works Uncle Vanya.
Performed by the same cast on the same set, the plays are staged together in order to draw attention to the similarities between the two well-known stories.
Konchalovsky is a renowned film and theatre director whose work includes Golden Globe nominated TV movie The Lion In Winter and House Of Fools. He has also directed stage productions across Europe, most recently presenting another Chekhov play The Seagull in Paris and Italy.
The productions come to London following a successful run at Moscow’s Mossovet State Academic Theatre.
Please note, Uncle Vanya and Three Sisters are performed in Russian with English surtitles.
