Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig’s new play takes audiences on an energetic and imaginative journey through contemporary China.

Directed by Michael Longhurst, The World Of Extreme Happiness follows Sunny as she leaves her family home in rural China in the hope of finding a job and new life. But embracing a promising new future proves harder than she could ever have imagined.

Longhurst, whose credits include Nick Payne’s award-winning play Constellations at the Royal Court and in the West End, directs a cast including Katie Leung, Chris Lew Kum Hoi, Daniel York, Junix Inocian, Sarah Lam and Vera Chok.
