The Royal Festival Hall is transformed into a 21st century Emerald City for this production of the RSC stage version of L. Frank Baum's classic tale of wizards and witches, Munchkins and music. Featuring all your favourite songs from the 1939 motion picture, including the Oscar winning Over The Rainbow, this is the first major production of The Wizard Of Oz in London for more than 20 years.
A cast of 30 brings to life innocent Dorothy Gale, her friends the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion, the evil Wicked Witch of the West, a guild of Munchkins and of course the eponymous Wizard of Oz himself. The production is directed by Southbank Centre's award-winning Artistic Director Jude Kelly, whose previous credits include Singin' In The Rain, The Seagull and Othello.
