Following 2012’s The Suit, Peter Brook and Marie-Hélène Estienne return to the Young Vic with a new work exploring the mysteries of the human brain.
Bringing together neurological research and Persian verse to transport audiences from the familiar to the extraordinary, The Valley Of Astonishment rewrites the rules of sensory perception to create a world where every sound has a colour, every colour has a taste and the number eight is a fat lady.
The production is performed by stars of Fragments Kathryn Hunter and Marcello Magni alongside William Nadylam and Jared McNeill, who both worked with the Olivier Award-winning writing duo on The Suit.
