At the christening of Princess Aurora, most fairies give presents such as beauty, wit and generosity. The wicked Carabosse, though, places a curse on the young royal; on her 16th birthday she will prick her finger and die. The Lilac Fairy manages to switch death for a sleep of one hundred years. Only love’s true kiss can break the magical spell.
