It is 1969. Bombs are dropping on Vietnam and the world is exploding in protest. At the Tiki Club, four Aboriginal sisters from the country catch the eye of a big city talent scout with their Supremes cover band, and they’re off to sing for the troops on the front line. But the realisation of a lifelong dream to perform overseas isn’t quite what they had in mind.
Featuring a live band and Motown hits that defined a generation, this is a swinging celebration of family joy and heartbreak which tells the true story of The Sapphires as they shake it for the troops and push sibling love to its limits.
