Straight-laced vegans Philip and Philippa are attempting to host the perfect children’s party for their young son, Johnny, who has been very ill. The hummus dip and carrot sticks are ready, and the gelatine-free, sugar-free jelly is trying to set, so all that remains is for the three entertainers to arrive. However, despite their best laid plans, unexpected events threaten to spiral the party out of control in this funny, fast-paced, farcical adult comedy. Could a balloon phobic balloon-modeller with a rather limited repertoire, an incompetent magician whose snake is better at escapology than he is, and an inappropriate clown put paid to their plans? Their patience, their principles and their not-so-perfect partnership are put to the test in Kaye Conway’s colourful debut.
