Once upon a time, a son of a cobbler fought his way out of the gutter using only brains, guts, words, bombs and anything and anyone that stood in his way. Until one day he ruled one third of the world and his subjects loved him and called him The People’s Happiness and they all lived happily every after.

Except they didn’t and what followed was one of the most bloody episodes in history because the cobbler’s son was Josef Stalin.

This original ensemble piece dramatises moments, memories and imaginings of the young life of a tyrant.
