Now celebrating its 10th birthday, The Night Of 1000 Voices is an annual event which raises money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
This year the event also celebrates the 50th birthday of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and honours the 80th birthday of composer Stephen Sondheim.
Aled Jones hosts the evening, which features the singing talents of West End and Broadway stars including Kerry Ellis (Wicked, Oliver!), Adam Pascal (Rent, Chess In Concert), Philip Quast (Les Miserables, Evita, La Cage Aux Folles) as well as Teri Bibb, Kenneth Nichols and David Michael Johnson.
Dancing On Ice judge Robin Cousins – currently seen in Grease – will make a guest appearance, as will television presenters Gloria Hunniford and Ainsley Harriott.
The music line-up includes a birthday tribute to Sondheim and some favourites from the last 10 years, including You’ll Never Walk Alone from Carousel and Don’t Cry For Me Argentina from Evita.
Also attending The Night Of 1000 Voices are the original Calendar Girls, whose attempts to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research by posing for a nude calendar caused a media sensation resulting in the film and musical of the story.
Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is the only UK charity devoted exclusively to improving treatments, finding cures and learning how to prevent leukaemia and other blood related disorders.
