In The Just So Stories, five of Rudyard Kiplings tales are brought to life using everyday objects.
Red Table’s production – first seen at the King’s Head theatre – transfers to the Pleasance over Easter offering children aged 4+ and their families another chance to catch these enchanting tales.
Children are encouraged to snuggle down in a pile of duvets and cushions at the front of the theatre as storytellers use everyday objects found in an attic to bring five of Kipling’s tales to life. Find out why the moon pulls the tides (rather than a crab who is taller than the smoke of three volcanoes) and why an elephant’s nose is so long.
The Just So Stories aims to show children the joys of imaginative play using found objects, as they grow up in a world which relies on manufactured and computerised entertainment.
