Tall Stories’ musical adaptation about every child’s favourite furry monster returns to the West End this festive season.
Based on Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s popular picture book, The Gruffalo tells the story of a mouse who ventures into the deep dark wood in search of hazelnuts, but instead comes across a host of woodland creatures – the cunning Fox, the eccentric old Owl and the party mad Snake, outsmarting each of them with her tale of the creature – half-grizzly bear, half-buffalo – that she believes is fictional.
Combining music, laughter and physical theatre, the story of the adorable woodland creature is brought to life on stage by acclaimed theatre company Tall Stories, whose productions of popular children’s books Room On The Broom and The Gruffalo’s Child have both had successful runs in the capital.
Directed by Olivia Jacobs with music by Jon Fiber and Andy Shaw, the production’s cast includes Susanna Jennings, Timothy Richey and Tom Crook.
