James Joyce’s much-loved short story The Dead is given an innovative stage adaptation as Italian theatre company Città di Ebla makes its UK debut.
Published in Joyce’s The Dubliners 100 years ago, The Dead finds a married woman recollecting her first love.
As the haunting tale of the boy who died for her is told by a woman alone in a bedroom, images taken live by a photographer are projected, blending reality with memory and shifting moments in time.
The Dead is staged as part of the London International Mime Festival 2014. It contains adult content and nudity, and is suitable for theatregoers aged 14 and older.
