In Bamboo Blues Pina Bausch takes inspiration from the incisive and delicate gestures of Indian dance. Brilliantly coloured fabrics are used to hypnotizing effect, and the piece incorporates film and images of India, employing a diverse range of Indian music.

Premiere 18 May 2007 and performed at the Barbican theatre as part of London 2012 Festival.
