The internationally acclaimed St Petersburg Ballet Theatre is swanning back into the West End for a strictly limited time with its full-length production of Swan Lake at the London Coliseum.
Set to the enchanting score by Tchaikovsky, the classic ballet tells the immortal love story of Princess Odette who is turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer.
Swan Lake will be performed as it was meant to be seen; with gorgeous traditionally painted backdrops, a full-sized orchestra and critically acclaimed dancers.
Prima ballerina Irina Kolesnikova leads the company of incredible dancers. Irina travels the world with St Petersburg Ballet Theatre to perform classical masterpieces. She’s taken the leading roles in productions such as Giselle, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. Irina has been the prima ballerina for St Petersburg Ballet Theatre since the tender age of 21. Her last performance of Odette/Odile in London’s 2015 Swan Lake was described as “truly a thing of beauty and technically flawless” by the Telegraph.
Irina will be joined on stage by a cast of world-renowned dancers including principal dancer Denis Rodkin, from the Bolshoi Ballet. Bolshoi Ballet principal dancer, Anna Nikulina, and Mariinsky Theatre’s principal dancer, Kimin Kim, will also dance the roles of Odette/Odile and Prince Siegfried at selected performances.
