The Singular Sensations season is completed by Joshua Rifkin, the award-winning classical pianist, who will perform alongside Ida Faiella, one of the supreme sopranos of her generation.
Rifkin has earned international acclaim as conductor, pianist, and harpsichordist for performances of music ranging from Monteverdi to Gershwin to modern classics. Rifkin led The Bach Ensemble from 1978 and after forging his reputation as a performer of ragtime, he has also gained recognition for his extensive research into the field of Renaissance and Baroque.
Ida Faiella has premiered as well as performed the works of Benjamin Britten, Seymour Barab, Jon Deak, George Gershwin, Gian-Carlo Menotti, Arnold Schoenberg, Igor Stravinsky, William Walton and Kurt Weill. She has also performed a wide range of traditional and theatrical works.>
