The sound of silence returns to the West End for one week only with hit jukebox musical The Simon & Garfunkel Story.
Taking you though all the songs and stories that shaped the iconic duo, The Simon & Garfunkel Story chronicles their rise from humble beginnings – as 50s rock n roll duo Tom & Jerry – to global superstardom. The show also portrays their dramatic break-up at the peak of their international success, their subsequent solo careers, and a stunning recreation of their legendary 1981 New York Central Park reunion concert, attended by half a million fans.
Acclaimed in all corners of the world, The Simon & Garfunkel Story uses state of the art video projection, contemporary newsreel footage, TV commercials, incredible concert-style lighting and a full live brass ensemble to bring to life some of their most famous hits.
Simon & Garfunkel fans can look forward to numbers including ‘Mrs Robinson’, ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, ‘Homeward Bound’, ‘Scarborough Fair’, ‘The Boxer’, ‘The Sound Of Silence’ – and many, many more.
Philip Murray Warson (Million Dollar Quartet; One Man, Two Guvnors) plays Paul Simon, having joined the show in January, while Charles Blyth, who has performed with it on tour and internationally, portrays Art Garfunkel. The cast are supported by Leon Camfield (bass), Adam Smith (electric guitar/keyboards), Mat Swales (drums) and Tim Bloomer (guitar).
The Simon & Garfunkel Story has previously played in the West End to widespread critical acclaim, and now plays a timely limited run at the Vaudeville Theatre. Don’t miss it!
