Christopher Bruce, Rambert's former Artistic Director and creator of the hugely popular Ghost Dances and Rooster creates a new work for the company. Bruce's style of choreography is free-flowing and expressive.
In 1943 Benjamin Britten composed Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings, set to poems by six English poets. Using both the music and the poems as inspiration, Rambert's high-flying Associate Choreographer, Rafael Bonachela has created Curious Conscience, a series of interwoven scenes which explore the central themes of 'night', 'sleep' and 'dreams'. Bonachela has recently choreographed half of Kylie Minogue's Showgirl tour and Sensing Change for Union Dance.
