Designed by Royal Court Artistic Associate Chloe Lamford, Katie Mitchell directs this reimagining of the story of female Shakespearean protagonist Ophelia, freed from the presence of Hamlet.

In a major collaboration between the Royal Court and the internationally-revered touring company Schaubühne Berlin, Ophelias Zimmer will open in Berlin in December 2015 before arriving at the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs in May 2016.

The show features text by Alice Birch and is performed in German with English surtitles.
