For the first time in the UK, CBBC’s hit TV series, Operation Ouch! will be live on stage for a strictly limited run this Christmas.
The whacky, hilarious show starring identical twins Dr Chris and Dr Xand van Tulleken will be packed with incredible stunts, crazy experiments and amazing facts. The pair will explore the fascinating world of biology while showing the audience what the human body is capable of. Plus, they’ll share their favourite bits from the double-BAFTA-winning TV show.
The action-packed show had two sold-out runs in Australia tours where they explored things such as what the inside of a head looks like, how germs can be good for you, what you can do with a month’s worth of farts, and much more.
The twins are Oxford University trained doctors and still work in medicine. Dr Chris is based at University College London Hospital and Dr Xand is the Helen Hamlyn Senior Fellow at Fordham University’s Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs. As well as Operation Ouch!, they have appeared in other TV shows such as The Human Body: Secrets of Your Life Revealed, Frontline Doctors: Winter Migrant Crisis, Horizon, Is Binge Drinking Really That Bad?, Blow Your Mind, Horizon, Sugar V Fat, Which Doctor?, The Secret Life Of Twins, and Medicine Men Go Wild.
The brand-new stage adaptation, Operation Ouch! Live on Stage, is written by Chris and Xand van Tulleken and directed by Peter Adams, with lighting by Richard Dinnen. It is presented by Andrew Kay and Margot Teele for Andrew Kay & Associates.
From 6 December, Operation Ouch! Live On Stage! will be playing at the Apollo Theatre until 6 January 2019.
