Opera North presents the star-spangled sequal to George Gershwin’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Of Thee I Sing, Let ‘Em Eat Cake.
Get swept up in the glitz and glamour of a 1930s election where democracy is the last thing on everyone’s mind. Conducted by Wyn Davies and directed by Caroline Gawn, Let ‘Em Eat Cake is given the unique Opera North treatment – great orchestra, big chorus and lavish production values – and a cast who can do full justice to Gershwin’s magnificent music.
Let ‘Em Eat Cake is part of the Opera North season at Sadler’s Wells, playing alongside Skin Deep and Of Thee I Sing.
