Eclipse Theatre Company presents One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show, Don Evans’ hilariously outrageous play about how hard we try to hide who we really are.

In the suburbs of 1970s Philadelphia, the Harrisons are the most respected middle class Black family. But, the arrival of their young niece and her radical ideas from the rural south turns their polite, Christian life on its head.

Directed by Dawn Walton, One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show is described as “The Cosby Show meets Restoration Comedy.”

Eclipse Theatre Company is the only black-led national touring company delivering an annual middle-scale tour across the regions. The company’s previous tours include Errol John’s Moon On A Rainbow Shawl and Oladipo Agboluaje’s version of Bertolt Brecht’s Mother Courage And Her Children.
