After winning an astounding eight Tony Awards when it premiered on Broadway, hit musical Once comes to the West End.
Based on the Oscar-winning film of the same name, Once tells the touching tale of an Irish busker and young Czech mother who meet through a shared love of music.
A celebration of love, friendship and music, the musical charts their story as their songwriting sparks a deep connection and a tender, longing romance that neither of them could have expected.
Once is written by Irish playwright Enda Walsh, whose plays include Misterman, Disco Pigs, Penelope, The New Electrical Ballroom and The Walworth Farce, and directed by director of the Olivier Award-winning Black Watch, John Tiffany.
Set in Dublin, the musical features music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, the stars of the original Irish film.
