Fresh from its critically acclaimed success with Hamlet, ETT returns with an outstanding production of The Old Country written by one of our greatest and best loved dramatists. Responsible for modern day classics including Talking Heads, The Lady in the Van, The Madness of George III and more recently the multi-award winning The History Boys, Alan Bennett received an Olivier Award in 2005 for Outstanding Contribution to British Theatre.

Timothy West leads a stellar cast as Hilary, a British spy in exile, traitor to King, country and class. When his sister and newly knighted brother-in-law come to visit him and his long-suffering wife, Bron, they are forced to re-examine their allegiances. West is joined by Simon Williams whose many credits include Upstairs Downstairs, First Among Equals and The Winslow Boy.
