Helen McCrory takes on the title role in Carrie Cracknell’s production of Medea at the National Theatre.

Returning to the venue following performances in The Last Of The Haussmans and The Seagull, McCrory takes on the role of a wife who lives in exile with her sons for the sake of her husband Jason. But when Jason abandons his family for a new life, she exacts an appalling revenge that destroys everything she holds dear.

Adapted from Euripides tragedy by Ben Power, the production features music by critically acclaimed duo Goldfrapp whose music was previously heard on the National Theatre stage when Happiness featured in Earthquakes In London.
