The show with Mark Thomas and Rob Newman alternates each night who goes on first and who closes the show. Robert Newman was born in 1964. He is Greek-Cypriot, English, French and American. He has worked as a farmhand, warehouseman, house-painter, teacher, mail sorter, social worker, mover and broadcaster. Mark Thomas (born 1963) is a comedian, presenter and reporter from south London. He first came to light as a support comic on the BBC Radio 1 comedy show The Mary Whitehouse Experience in the late 1980s.
