Robert Bolt’s award winning play follows two of the most charismatic figures from British history – Henry VIII and his friend and right-hand man Sir Thomas More.

Martin Shaw, best known for his portrayal of Judge John Deed in the hugely popular BBC series, stars as Sir Thomas More. More’s crucible of moral standards leads to a choice between his own integrity and death. For this lawyer, writer, scholar and churchman there is no choice.

A Man For All Seasons – adapted from the 1966 film, which scooped six Oscars and seven British Academy awards – is destined to be one of the dramatic highlights of the autumn season.
