Beane is eccentric. Though his sister Joan and brother-in-law Harry try to make time for him, they can’t get through. When Beane’s apartment is burgled, Joan is bemused to find him fabulously happy, and tries to discover the story behind his mysterious new love Molly.
The European premiere of John Kolvenbach’s romantic comedy stars a cast of Hollywood’s finest. Young Irish actor Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins, 28 Days Later, The Wind That Shakes The Barley), who received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in Breakfast On Pluto, plays Beane. Beane’s sister Joan is played by Kristen Johnston, who twice won an Emmy for her portrayal of Sally Solomon in 3rd Rock From The Sun.
Neve Campbell (Scream I, II and III, Party Of Five) plays love interest Molly, returning to the London stage following her performance in Resurrection Blues at the Old Vic. Michael McKean (This Is Spinal Tap, The Producers, Best In Show) plays Harry.
Director John Crowley has previously directed Kolvenbach’s On An Average Day at the Comedy and Martin McDonagh’s The Pillowman at the National Theatre.
