Complicite’s first ever family show, based on Zizou Corder’s best-selling Lionboy trilogy, begins its 2014/14 UK tour at the Tricycle Theatre.
Set in a future where phones are powered by the sun, cars are banned and companies are more powerful than countries, the production tells the story of 11-year-old Charlie, a perfectly normal boy except he can speak to cats. When his parents are kidnapped, he sets off on a rescue mission with a little help from a floating circus and its pride of performing lions.
Directed by Clive Mendus and James Yeatman, the cast includes Martins Imhangbe (Charlie), Eric Mallett (Sergei) and Angel Lopez-Silva (Rafi).
Based on the original concept and production by Annabel Arden, Lionboy is an adventure that will inspire and entertain. The show’s 2014/15 tour follows its successful run at the Unicorn Theatre in 2013.
This show is suitable for children aged eight and older.
