Established in New York more than 40 years ago, Les Ballets Trockadero De Monte Carlo (or simply “The Trocks”) are now loved world-wide for their sassy spoofs and hilarious homages to classical ballet.
With 18 male dancers who each transform into two personas, both male and female, they take on the demands pointe-shoed roles with prima ballerina attitude.
Programme B features The Trock’s comic, and immaculately danced, interpretations of Fokine’s “ballet blanc” Les Sylphides, the colourful and joyous pas de six from the Bournonville classic Napoli and the wedding scenes from the 19th century Petipa ballet, Raymonda.
