La Fille Mal Gardée, one of the most popular works in the Royal Ballet’s reportoire, returns to the Covent Garden stage.

Full of charm, the story follows the youthful affections of Lise and Colas as they arrange their secret romance right under the nose of Lise’s protective mother, Widow Simone.

Frederick Ashton’s delightful choreography brings alive the storybook village – from its dancing hens to the merrymaking villagers – with a vibrant mix of joyous ensembles, characterful solos and romantic pas de deux.
