The Almeida Theatre’s hit production of Mike Bartlett’s controversial play King Charles III transfers to the Wyndham’s Theatre.
Tim Pigott-Smith reprises his role as the title character in the production, which imagines a future in which Prince Charles has taken the throne and explores the unwritten rules of our democracy and the conscience of Britain’s royal family.
Directed by Rupert Goold, the show sees Pigott-Smith joined in the cast by Richard Goulding, Nyasha Hatendi, Adam James, Margot Leicester, Tom Robertson, Nicholas Rowe, Tafline Steen and Lydia Wilson.
The transfer marks The Almeida Theatre’s fourth West End transfer in the past year after Ghosts, Chimerica and 1984.
