Playwright Mike Bartlett teams up with director Rupert Goold for a new play about our future king.

Set in a time when the Queen is dead and Prince Charles has ascended to the throne, King Charles III is a controversial play that explores the people underneath the crowns, the unwritten rules of our democracy and the conscience of Britain’s most famous family.

Bartlett and Goold have previously collaborated on Earthquakes In London and Decade. Bartlett’s other plays include Olivier Award-winning hit Cock, UK Theatre Award-winning drama Love, Love, Love and the stage adaptation of Chariots Of Fire.
