Greg Wise returns to the London stage after an absence of almost two decades to star in the European premiere of Brad Fraser’s black comedy Kill Me Now.

Bittersweet, fast-paced and ricocheting between the comedy and tragedy of disability, Kill Me Now tells the story of Jake, a writer who has sacrificed his career to care for his teenage son Joey. Both are keeping secrets, Jake about his love life and Joey about his plans for the future, but when disaster strikes they are forced to ask who’s really looking after who?

Arguably best known for his film roles, which include Sense And Sensibility and Walking On Sunshine, Wise returns to the capital’s stage following his 1998 appearance in Nabokov’s Gloves at the Hampstead Theatre.

Directed by Braham Murray, the actor plays Jake alongside Oliver Gomm, who follows performances at the Orange Tree Theatre in Schools For Scheming and The Charity That Began At Home to play his son Joey.

The cast also includes London stage newcomer Charlotte Harwood, Waterloo Road’s Jack McMullen (Father And Sons, Donmar Warehouse) and Anna Wilson-Jones (Life After George and Dangerous Corner in the West End).
