Jasmin Vardimon is one of the most exciting and accessible choreographers working in the field of dance and theatre today. Recipient of the prestigious 2000 Jerwood Award for choreography, and nominated for Best Female Artist in the Critics Circle National Dance Awards (2003), her work is powerful, unusual and often startling.

In her brand new creation, Park, eight characters come together to find refuge from ordinary life. Young revelers cavort naked in an historic fountain, a graffiti artists sprays, a bag-lady is amused by the song of a busker and a union jack waving man rants worn out political beliefs.

Park delivers fresh statements about our time, treating us to Vardimon’s insightful humour and beautifully detailed movement, as highly acute physical theatre combines with Nintendo ballerina-like movements and metaphors.
