Franz Jägerstätter was an ordinary Austrian farmer who, in 1943, was sentenced to death for refusing to wear a Nazi uniform and fight for the Third Reich. Based on real events, Sobol revisits Jägerstätter’s last day in prison and shows how friends and family pleaded with him to renounce his principles in favour of saving his own life.
