After receiving an Olivier Award for his solo show DESH last year, Akram Khan returns to Sadler’s Wells with the London premiere of his highly-anticipated new work iTMOi.

His first full-length ensemble piece since 2010’s Vertical Road, iTMOi (In The Mind Of Igor), is inspired by the work of composer Igor Stravinsky.

Marking 100 years since Stravinsky’s iconic The Rite Of Spring was composed, iTMOi explores the human condition and the way the composer transformed classical music by evoking emotions through pattern, rooted in the concept of a woman dancing herself to death.

iTMOi features an original score by Nitin Sawhney, Jocelyn Pook and Ben Frost, costumes by Kimie Nakano and an international cast of 12 dancers.
