Images Of Dance is an evening of dance showcasing the talents of students from London Studio Centre, one of Britain’s foremost colleges for the performing arts.
Former Royal Ballet principal Margaret Barbieri directs Images of Dance’s 17 talented young dancers in an entertaining banquet of ballet for all the family.
Images Of Dance’s programme features the moonlit beauty of Fokine’s Les Sylphides – in honour of the centenary of Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes – plus a new ballet by former Royal Ballet dancer Stephen Sheriff, Ciel Pommelé, set to Poulenc’s lush Piano Concerto.
It also includes a new ballet by Isira Makulouwe, whose Mad About The Boy uses popular hits of the 50s and 60s in a deliciously cheeky take on the fairytale Twelve Dancing Princesses, set in a finishing school, where the reluctant debutantes are more interested in boyfriends and dance crazes than manners or etiquette!
