Putting the rollercoaster life of dysfunctional band The Union under the spotlight, I’m With The Band blends theatre with life indie-rock.
Four-piece The Union, whose members are an Englishman, a Scotsman, a Welshman and an Irishman, is one of the UK’s biggest bands, but there’s trouble in rock paradise. Friendships are put to the test when the band is hit by a financial disaster and Scot guitarist Barry wants to go his own way. Artistic differences bubble and allegiances run deep, but can The Union survive?
I’m With The Band is written by Tim Price, whose previous work includes The Radicalisation Of Bradley Manning and Salt, Root, And Roe, which was directed by Hamish Pirie.
Pirie continues his connection with Price by directing this production.
